QESTField6.0.6117
Publisher Description
QESTField is a mobile solution for field technicians and inspectors to electronically replace paper-based information gathering on site for construction materials testing (CMT) and construction inspection activities as well as geotechnical investigations. This field data collection software functions on most hand-held devices (smartphones and tablets) and connects field testing and inspection staff with the laboratory or office.
This field information management system enables you to allocate, track and capture field related work in real time, improving visibility into your operations and simplifying report review and approval. It removes the need to physically move paper records, eliminates data transposition and reduces report turnaround times.

* (iOS 27) Fixed a bug which could cause the app to crash during start-up / after authentication when notification permission has been declined or not yet granted.
* Fixed a bug which could prevent a user from logging in, and potentially crash the application.
* Fixed a bug where the login screen could appear blank after a session expired. 6.0.6117 Oct 5 This release addresses issues mostly related to stability and connectivity.
* Fixed a bug causing connections to be dropped when resuming the app or during frequent network/connectivity changes. Symptoms of this could include errors displayed in the Work Orders & Tests web view, or failed redirections to the login page (e.g. “Web page not available”)
* Fixed a bug which could potentially cause connections to be dropped when using the Work Orders & Tests web view. Symptoms of this could include errors such as “Failed to retrieve QEST Platform version” displayed in the Work Orders & Tests web view, or failed redirections to the login page
* Fixed a bug which could prevent scheduled background re-authentication from occurring. This would lead to possible symptoms like being redirected to the login page or receiving other errors on the Work Orders & Tests page, and require the user to restart the app. Re-authentication attempts now back off gradually while the device is offline or the app is in the background, reducing unnecessary network activity and battery usage
* Reduced the number of server requests made when resuming the app, or when network connectivity changes
* Reduced warning pop-ups shown to the user for transient network failures, which are more likely to occur when resuming the app
* Fixed a bug on the Work Orders & Tests page where, when connectivity was lost, the page could show blank instead of the connection error message, and the app could crash when the error message was displayed or after connectivity returned
* Fixed a bug which could cause form synchronisation to stop working, requiring the user to restart the app
* Fixed a bug which can sometimes show the login page within the Work Orders & Tests frame when starting the app
* Fixed a bug which would downgrade the security of authentication cookies in iOS 6.0.6100 Sep 16 Updated to support QEST Platform 6.0, including bug and security fixes. 6.0.5960 Jun 25 Bug fix to prevent upload errors for certain PDF forms, updated app framework for stability improvements. 5.8.5866 Jan 26 This release includes bug fixes and stability improvements following a change in the app’s framework. 5.8.5540 05/12/2025 The QESTField App now supports authentication through the QEST Web App if connecting to a QEST Web API version 5.6+. This includes previewing, publishing, and signing. Images inserted by third party PDF editors are often inserted as annotations to allow these to be more easily manipulated when editing the document. Flattening these annotations will ensure that they are not modified on reports when they should not be and will correctly show up in previews. 4.92.3853.31003 07/20/2020 Images embedded on Forms will be compressed prior to synchronizing back to the QEST Platform, greatly reducing form size and bandwidth usage.
Better feedback for error messages to pass onto support personnel provided on login errors.
QESTField Web URI entered as "http" rather than "https" by a system administrator elegantly handled.
URI settings are not accessed when not relevant, overcoming an issue that could result in stuck logins 4.91.3766.28287 04/27/2020 When the app is updated alongside the underlying QEST Platform to version 4.90+, users have access to the following functionality with this version.
Daily Schedule Notifications
A more automated work confirmation process now exists within the QEST Platform for communicating about daily schedules. Users will receive push notifications from dispatchers when the daily schedule is ready for review. On reviewing a day's schedule, assigned work orders can be confirmed to inform the dispatcher of work approval.
Daily Summary Field Report
The Daily Summary Field Report represents the most efficient way to leave a summary of completed work on-site. This QESTField Tests workflow extends the existing Daily Field Inspection workflow and will automatically collate and summarize key data from previously entered workflows (like concrete and field densities) as well as any entered inspection forms.
Once all the information is collated, the user will be able to preview, sign (if appropriate), and publish the report directly from their device to stakeholders on-site.
This quick collation and summary of work completed in the field along with the ability for immediate distribution and approval, where appropriate, means that all project stakeholders can be kept up to date on completed work, daily.

Bug Fixes 4.90.3689.38448 02/09/2020 When the app is updated alongside the underlying QEST Platform to version 4.90+, users have access to the following functionality with this version.

Version History This release addresses issues mostly related to stability and connectivity.
* Fixed a bug which would downgrade the security of authentication cookies in iOS 6.0.6100 2d ago Updated to support QEST Platform 6.0, including bug and security fixes.
